Helping A Texas School District Educate " Giants" With Our Energy Project

These Friday Night Lights prove there's great opportunity to accomplish more for clients when we listen carefully to their challenges.

Goose Creek Independent School District near Houston, Texas, is proud of the promise they make to students and parents: 鈥淗ere, We Grow Giants.鈥 Preserving that tradition led GCISD to tackle the expenses threatening their improvement plans. But ideas from energy contractors kept falling short. 鈥溕ㄌ脀as really the first one that listened very carefully to what the district needs were,鈥 said Mike Rasmussen, Goose Creek ISD Project Manager.

Working closely with GCISD leadership, 色花堂built a project that met those unique needs, from sustainability goals to technology upgrades, all without upfront costs to the school. Saving $31.7 million over the next 15 years meant the school was able to install water conservation measures at 31 facilities and improve ventilation and lighting across the entire district, all without new capital burdens, since the improvements are paid for with guaranteed savings.
